Right - I recently replaced the oil pressure sensor on my raider but then realised it wasnt the sensor that was leaking but the metal pip it connects to had a split in it and oil was pouring out
I had a spare ready to go on but its different - the one I took off had another sensor coming off the side of it so I would like to get another one the same
Just wondering if this is a normal part or perhaps off a clio or something?

Somebody has drilled a hole in the side, threaded it and put that sensor in place. It is not standard like that.

any idea what that sensor is for - there is now a wire that isnt connected
Oil pressure sensor is dodgy too so ill have to get a new one anyway

I would say that is a oil pressure switch should have a light in the dash when key is turned then go out when the oil pressure gets up when engine started

no the oil pressure sensor goes at the bottom of that - im getting pressure (a bit iffy though) and the red light isnt coming on

That is a later ph2 banjo with the oil light sensor in the side. Either one will fit fine, i prefer the early one with the barrel on bottom and two prongs as the later type tend to leak.

so should the wire that is now disconnected go to the 2nd prong on the oil pressure sensor (I now have the phase 1 type sensor fitted)

mine was leaking from the narrow tube in the middle - had a crack pretty much all the way round it
