I'm trying to raise the back end - axle stuck solid any ideas?

:agree: Safest, most efficient way.
They can be a pain. Usually it is the bars that sieze in to the center block. If it doesn't shift with a big slide hammer than you need to heat that block, but be very carefull, the fuel tank is right there so you'll need to improvise a heat shield from some sheet steel or similar.
