Is the engine to gearbox stud nearest to the bulkhead different to the one at the front of the car, as when i took out the engine it just had a bolt in there which was doin feek all just spining I have two studs but they are both the front studs just wondered if there the same? I hope the rear one isnt treaded.cheers

im sure the one at the rear the one your talking about is just a bolt with a nut on mate i may stand corrected though

It is a M10 stud. From what i remember it's around 75mm long. 15mm of plain shank in the middle and threaded 30mm either end. This is a pic of one in an auto box, it joins to a C1J block thou-

it is number 16 on there, the front one is shown as number 17, so i guess they are different. IIFC the front one is longer

Im sure ive used old head bolts instead of studs on my car to make it easier to remove the engine and leave box in place if i ever needed too.

number 16 in the diagram is the gearbox mount bolt . number 15 is the engine/gearbox bolt .
if it is number 16 then there are 2x nuts and bolts. to hold rear gearbox mount on,
if it is number 15 then it is a stud . not sure on length . but it screws into the gearbox and the nut holds the gearbox to engine .
with the photo above , i have marked the bolt i think you are on about .
the red arrow is the one i think you are on about .
or is ti the green arrows .
