do I have to replace it / if so anyone got one ?

Check the cable has the correct clip on the back of the carb. If the casing has split can cause it not to close properly .
Close the choke , then pop the bonnet and see if u can manually operate it further.

Thanks mate The cover on the cable has split about half way down

If it is passing on or anywhere near the retaining clip I'm sure it would get stuck , fail to close or give a false operation. Maybe try and add a few cable ties near the clip

Also check that the clip is in the right place and there is the right amount of sleeping present. Had an issue with mine being fixed too short caused choke to remain open keeping revs at 1500 - 1800.
