With getting tire into my car one if my main goals this year I plan on restoring shell then addressing the engine.
My last car was a standard c1j which I loved but just wouldn't stop worrying about.
Couldn't help it. Just worried about something going wrong when our driving.
I know that's a bit negative but it's something inevitable for me :)
I see the engine sections on the forum but I am none the wiser to where they come from and which is in essence more reliable and "easy" to slot into a 5

Lol im not mechanically minded. The b18ft engine has been mostly painfree drving. Ive only change oil twice in 6 months. Used as my daily and have been up and down motorways without any issues. Great car start on the buttonevery morning.

That b18 engine is from a Volvo? My friend had the old 480. Was great old thing. Are these hard to come by?

About £ 150 on ebay and specialist breakers.

150...sounds good. I'm assuming the c1j standard gearbox won't meet this?

Its basicly an f series engine use jb3 box and same mounts just need to drill the front one or source a Monaco or gtx mount.

If you can't find one for the above models, there was also the GTE (1.7 non-turbo GTT) available in Europe. ;)
