get an impact driver, it buzz it off in secs
How could you cause the required impact? The pulley is down in the bay, no way to swing a hammer? If you meant an air powered socket, the car is in a scrap yard by the looks of it...
Screwdriver in the f/wheel seems the only way.
im been refitting and taking off the bottom pulley loads of times recently, as mentioned just lodge a straight edge screwdriver in the flywheel teeth where the tdc sensor is, do it more towards the back side of the engine.

a snap-on battery powered impact gun does the trick . bit exspensive though for just one bolt . if you were closer you could have borrowed mine .
fantastic tool though . cost me £400.00 . but never looked back . great investment . :agree:

Could you get that on the bottom pulley whilst it's in situ?

Went in my lunch hour back to the scrappers! Hammered a hefty screwdriver in the flywheel....worked an absolute treat.....took longer to get my screwdriver back out than take the pulley off!:)
