Who originally made the front springs, if anyone knows?

Cheers

Good luck finding original springs new, all the ones I tried were lifting the car up too high I found, but then again these cars are 22+ years old so springs aren't going to be great that old. I got a set powder coated and put on, I still have a spare set sitting in the garage if you are interested in buying them off me.

Hi Mate,

May be interested in the spare set, however before I give up would you happen to know the manufacturer or part number? Do they come under item 13 as from what I gather they have colours painted on them? I know what everyone is thinking that I am wasting my time but if someone can humour me that would be cool.

Hi Simon, the Gt Turbo came with green / grey paint flicks on them and they haven't been around for a while now. There are a few sets with red paint flicks on them but wrong ride height. Both Dale and I have tried alot of suppliers but they say yes and then send Campus or Phase 1 springs out.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mike,

Cheers for the info. Appreciate that.

Could Campus springs be fitted, and then using those clamps that you can get on ebay, reduce the spring height that way? Or would that not work?

Just wondered as I'm in a similar situation and want the standard ride height.

campus springs are softer.....not suited to the shocks, I had same prob....sent out phase one which were about 2" too high....in the end I removed one coil with my dremel:(

I'd never use those spring clamps. Stressing a single part of the spring doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Never use those crappy spring clamps. You would be better chopping a coil off.
