hi,

Its time to sell my renault 5!

Its a 1985 Le Car 2 Turbo , which was a run out line mk1 5 that Renault decided to put the remaining gordini turbo engines they had, into a base model 5. - so it has standard fabric seats, rather than the beige corduroy found in the TX and Gordini turbo models ( and turbo 2's), wind down windows, Fergat deep dish steel wheels and all of them had sunroofs.

This particular car was owned by a guy who used to race against Mark Fish, and kept it in his Garage in London whilst he was away in Europe with work. This meant that its not as rusty as some.

It does have some uprated dampers fitted, but i've never been sure of the make - they are not adjustable.
I've obviously lowered it - it can be easily raised back to normal ride height as it has torsion bars all round!
There is a small amount of bubbling on the rear arches.
I have fitted a PWR barrel chargecooler with 2 x pace pre-rads to help cooling of the inlet charge. I have the original airbox and boost pipe, so you can easily put it back to OE if needed.
A new clutch from Mecaparts France has been fitted and the boost turned up to 12psi.
4 new 165/55 r13 tyres have been fitted recently - there is loads of tread on them. - The reason why I chose that profile tyre is so that they clear the rear arches without and arch modification.
A period sports steering wheel has been fitted. - I have the original unit and will go with the car.
There is a fitted car cover designed for the mk1 5 - this will be included in the sale.
I will include the original wing mirrors.
I also have a brand new turbo which will be sold with the car.
12 Months MOT from today.
please contact me on here or markbranston@hotmail.com

I'm looking for £2500.
