View Full Version : Fog light bulbs - how to replace / remove

Right. It looks like these bulbs are secured to the outer metal casing the wire leads into the back and the 2 pins look like they are soldered???

How to I replace these bulbs and also remove them easily without crushing the bulb in your hand?

I think mine come out the same as the others just twist.
Might have been bodged in the past? :scratch:

Sounds like a DIY. Mines just disconnected and twisted out

I've taken some photos still confused, however did not sleep last night. Should the bulb pull out of the metal casing or do you replace the whole thing including the wire and connector?

Hi the bulb doesn't come out the casing you replace the whole thing!!
Think its a h4 fog bulb I maybe wrong but its the whole thing you buy cost me 1 pound from my local motor factors.

New bulbs come with a new wire, that spade connects into spare wire in fog light, should have a bit of a plastic sleeve thing to cover conection

Cheers guys, that explains why I am having so much trouble. I've been pulling the bulb out with force. Old skool these ones, been a while.

Dont touch the glass bulb when you refit new ones mate as they wont last very long
