More specifically on an f4r but any advice welcome.

What benefits are there in adjusting exhaust cam timing on a boosted engine? I have made vernier pulleys but wondering if there is any benefit on using the exhaust one?

Cheers for any help.

Why would you not want to use both? What cams? What turbo? What are you trying to achieve? " need more input"

Standard 172 cams with a gt2860rs turbo and looking for upto 350hp for track use only.

Reason for not wanting to use both is the exhaust pulley's cap screws are fowling on the pulley cover so if it would be set to zero anyway I would just use the normal pulley and not worry about modifying it.

Can anyone give any advice on my setup with regards to exhaust timing benefits?

Retard the intake cam a bit. Intake cam timing makes more difference hence alot of oe systems only have vvt etc. On the intake shaft.

So make the inlet adjustable and the exhaust fixed?
