Hi all,

Does anyone have any tips on fixing broken rib slats (the vertical small ones) is there a process similar to welding or are there any amazing adhesives out there that will bond it? I've tried regular super glue which doesnt seem to work.

Renault have stopped doing new grilles ages ago... Perhaps a "tuner" or enthusiast out there might want to start making replica ones out of fibre glass?

Cheers!

I did a quick search on this recently and I'm going to try plastic welding. Just use a soldering iron and melt it together. Can also use a bit of plastic bag to help it stick. Seen it on YouTube looks like it might work.

I've been wondering about the soldering iron idea! sounds a good one!

You can get special two part glues for it on Flee-Bay, or the best way I found was soldering iron and a cable tie and use it if you were stick welding.

That sounds a lot better than the plastic bag way. I'll give this one a go :agree:

Q-bond should do the job.

I think I'll try a decent glue first :) then muck about with burning it up if I have no joy :)

qbonds great, builds up well too, i personally melt plastics together then glue over them. soldering like welding and using a cable tie.
