View Full Version : Moving battery to the passenger side like a renault van
Just wondering how difficult it is to move the battery towards the passenger side on a renault 5 gt turbo, like on a renault van.
Whats required ?, i have a plastic battery tray from a renault van, generally does everything else reach ?
Batteries are on the passenger side on the GT Turbo

Dunc i'ts easy mate everything reaches just re-route starter thick cable and change position of battery earth. You have the plastic tray use the battery clamp and bolt and job done.
Less thing's to rust with the plastic tray in place:agree:
**** i mean the drivers.. sorry lol
and thats half the reason i want to use it, less chances of **** to rust
Id probably keep it in the passenger side on a gtt. Weight distribution and that.
really like your coolant setup though brigs, which requires battery on the drivers side dosent it ?

Haha, few dumbbells in the passenger side? Dont even go there with spare box:cooter:
You could go on drivers side with header tank coupe style dj. Mine just landed in the passenger side lol
It's easy Duncan and you can even put the battery tray clamp and bolt there to as it was designed that way I believe for left hand drive 5's well mine all went in ok still got the washer bottle down the side of it to mate
plastic tray from a campus, just pull all the wiring over to the other side, should be easy,id sooner have the negative that side...
