View Full Version : How to split rear lights?
My rear lights are looking very untidy and have polish and paint in all the gaps. Anyone know if these are easy to split and how to? Thanks
tooth brush and hot water will help in the gaps, also cut the brush off the end fix to some wire to clean inside of clusters, yes you can take them apart.
:agree:
Just buy new ones, they cost peanuts! :agree:

Just had a look, £40 each on his site. How much discount does he offer for rtoc members?

Your info is wrong mate if you look it's £40 for the euro rear lights standard ones work out cheaper than bob does them for plus mike is a lot closer can't remember exactly what I paid but I know they were cheaper than Cgb
When I purchased them from renault was around the £20 mark each. What was crazy was the price for the bulb holder board though that was going on over £30 each :crap:

My info was correct at time of post, his web site just been updated with new parts I've just seen, so as I just said, wasn't listed at time of my post above. Renault quoted me £22.32p each last month, pop to your local and order them if people are that fussy about couple of pounds as no delivery charge so your save on post.
Ps, even those plastic scuttle trims everyone sells for £15 are only £4.51p each from Renault! Some things are a lot cheaper than you think. ;)

Sorry bigfoot i mean for the scuttle cover, think i found it from ur link tho.
If your current lights arent cracked get the polish on them, bit of elbow grease and they will come up like new ;)

Polished them last night used some 3M plastic restorer. This was what I was going to do but was worried about the polish stuck on the gaps. The polish worked a treat! Looks really good just need to clean the gaps with a toothbrush now :)
just had a quick play with the lights doesn't look like its that easy to get to the polish, here's a few pictures

Are they hard to split? I won't be able to buy some for a few weeks as i have more important things on the car to buy.

I restore a lot of lights. Front and rears.
For the best results you want to look at wet sanding and then polishing them back up.

(I know they're completely different lights but it's the same principle :) )
