rev limiter types

On the megasquirt I have options for the rev limits for the main hard and soft cut rev limits but also launch control rev limits. The options I have is fuel cut, fuel and spark cut, spark cut. I have it set to fuel and spark cut at the moment but would I be better off (safer) to just cut The spark?

I think spark cut is safer? Plus you'll get flames :)

Probably should have stated if you didn't know or if it makes any difference its on a b18ft

now all set as spark cut only awaiting flames:D I also have the option to ignore knock above a certain rpm, anyone know if i need to ignore after a certain point due to engine noise etc...?
