Opening out exhaust elbow

Guys I'm going to have a fettle with my standard exhaust elbow at lunch and see if I can open it out to 2.25".
Has anyone done this before ? Any tips & tricks ?

Yeah has been done before, tuners used to sell ground out ones as free flowing elbows. Personaly I would rather find a bms or big Jim downpipe it make your own using a pre-cut flange.
Or jus buy brigsy's, job done.

Well I had the dremel out so I thought I'd have a bash anyway !
Didn't turn out too bad, I need to polish it and get the high spots etc off tomorrow.
