Hello,

whats the easiest way to change starter motor? What parts should be removed?

Thanks!

Three bolts by gearbox at back which holds the starter motor in place. Undo wiring from under the car on back of starter motor and remove out passenger wheel area.

topcat did mine the other day,
Undone the 3 bolts and jiggled it to move it out a bit to undo the cables (take a pic of it connected for when putting it back).
Took drivers side wheel off for access then undone the bar.
Helps if 2 get it back and bolted on.

Just take your time and record what goes a where.
For good sake remember first to disconnect the battery as a broken finger will be the least if your worries lol

I hope you repaired the **** wire connection on the starter solenoid...

Also when reinstalling make sure you get the dowel back in to the correct hole, or it makes a horribe graunching noise when cranking.

Cheers..
The black metal elbow shield, how is it held on? I had to stick a very small bolt (you can see it) just in front of the bolt near where the earth cable goes to on the gear box.
Is there another "support" at the other end of the shield to secure it?
It looks fairly secure but i don't wan't it coming off!
