View Full Version : Caliper Bleed Nipples

Ola,

I snapped a bleed nipple off in a rear caliper today but I managed to drill it out. Anyway, I've been all over trying to get a new nipple ;) but with no luck at all!!

The nipple measures 7mm, and it looks like a 1mm pitch but the Reno garage say that they only sell M6 and M8 nipples!?!?

Whats the crack?

Anyone know where I could get some?

just phoned them,dont do anything like that :(

if you know what size your after then order them over the phone from think auto. i have bought some from them before.

are they standard brakes also im braking a campus which should have them on the front i dont mind getting them off for you

I have no idea mate? I was hoping to get hold of some quickly so i could get the car back on the road tomorrow :(

Doesn't look like its gona happen tho! Guess I could go to the scrapyard and see what the have?

would suggest kwik fit or the like as they have boxes of them laying around for such occasions, i kno this cos a mate of mine works at one

Scrappy is worth a look mate if your stuck. Any renault/citroen/pug with the same calipers will do, 106/ax/saxo base spec front calipers have the same bleed nipples, same caliper without the handbrake mech.

Brigsy I thought the same so rang the local Pug dealer who were nearly as useless as Reno!! none on the shelf & need a chassis number to find out if they can get M7!!

they recon all kinds of calipers so i would have thought sourcing some bleed nips from them wouldnt be a problem :scratch:

HI m8, once I got the calipers off and had a good look at them I didn't bother with the re-build. They look fine so just cleaned them up and bolted them back on.

yes ok, but your now after bleed nips yes? have you clicky clicky on the linky linky above..?
