Ok after a bit of searching ive worked out that bit goes into the gearbox end. So how do i attach the bottom of gear shift to the gear alignment rod? Do i need to take something of the standard gear stick?

Ive got no instructions so really need help.

How do you fit the part i have took a pic of too?

Thank you

You replace the original one at gearbox end. You will need a bit of grinder action to make it work properly

Ok more problems, attached bottom off gearstick to the selector rod all fine bolted all back together but another problem. The gear stick keeps dropping. You have to lift it back up into its "seat". Please see short video might be easier to see it,

Ok video not working. Ill try and explain better.

The main bit is in place and circlip is back on and that stays in postion. The gear stick keeps dropping out of that bit???

I think I've got this one and its crap, the reverse lift doesn't click in and out properly some times and if you mess with it while sitting in traffic, ie pulling lever up and down when waiting at the lights, then you lock yourself out of first gear and it wont go into reverse either like I did, then wasted an hour messing about thinking the gear box had had it till after checking everything found the fault :sad2:

Wish id never started thus job now,

Still not happening think i will have to ring cgb tomorrow.

If you look at this pic should they come apart like this i thought the bit that pushes into the casing stays attached the gear stick. At the munute as soon as put it up right it just slips out??
