I think it needs to be rated at 3.5bar (although I'm not 100%) what fuel pumps could I use? I'm looking to pick up a second hand job off the bay if possible unless they're reasonably priced :) - it is the credit crunch afterall

any advice appreciated
Andy

this one seems to claim a lot but do I really need one rated this high? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NOT-255-DA-27-270-FUEL-PUMP-RENUALT-CLIO-WILLIAMS-16v_W0QQitemZ150316574801QQihZ005QQcategoryZ122139 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Bosch 044, but that might be completely o.t.t for your application, unless you're going forced induction?

If not, well, I guess you'll never suffer with low fuel supply/pressure with that bad boy in situ :D

Saying that, not sure if you can get dedicated external versions of them, but if so, the Walbro 255 is a cheap & cheerful pump that'll do the trick. I'm running one on the heave ho with no prob's...touchwood  :)

Thats the one im running on my car no problems there with fuel supply, mines actually the bosch unit rather than a copy of the bosch unit which that appears to be

So if I go for this one I should be okay?...I'm guess you can't have too much fuel pressure within reason

Well I have no problems with fueling my f7p turbo with pressure at 3.5bar I think it is. Would try find the bosch pump rather than the chinese one though or wherever that came from. Then again £40 you couldn't go wrong with a new pump.

I used the granada pump when mine was NA, not sure what the part number was tho, then went for the standard cossie pump when i fitted the blower!
