Hi all,

I've got a Sun MGA1200 4 gas analyzer which has gone past it's service date and has locked me out. I hear there is a way to unlock it so it but I don't know how. Aparantly a snap on service agent (they bought SUN I think) can set the service dates, etc. I'd love to know how, or if they're NW based and fancy a job....

Cheers, Chris :)

Indeed I am a snap-on franchisee, do you want me to have a word with the local tech guy?

I sure am! But as Jon said its something we deal with on the van it's a job for the tech reps.
I can make a phone call on Monday to get some info about unlocking it. :)

Jon and Pete, any info you can find would be a huge help, thankyou :)

I think I've found the hidden menus but there seems to be a pin code, or rather a sequence of button presses needed to go further.

There are 5 function menus: Code 0, Code 1, Code 2, Code 3 and Code 4. Code 1 lets me view the service date and current date but does not allow me to change anything. Code 2, 3 and 4 seem to want a key combination to go further so I guess they are the service menus ?

Cheers, Chris :)

I heard a story today from one of the Snap on guys that actually they're not able to unlock this machine and that they still need to sign users up to a 12 month contract for servicing. Jon / Pete, have you heard the same ? Thanks for your help guys,

Cheers, Chris.
