Ok i spoke with CTM about 20mins ago really helpful bunch and they have advised it's a Piper 285/2 cam based on the 285 with a slight degree variation to there spec. He advised this was what they were advised to do for a customer some 9-10 years ago I mentioned the name Mike Spence he laughed and said yes Mike wanted them marked like this so people wouldn't copy and would have to go through Mike or CTM for them.

:agree:

Next question is what sort of price would this 2nd hand decent very good condition cam shaft go for?? as I want to sell it as no good to me?

No vernier or spring's available. I have attached a std pulley on it for now.

This cam would appear to be the same one that was in my old MSM engine which on the roller's was revved to 7880rpm and was going higher only stopped due to fueling issue's

I just wanted to be sure it was one of Mike's cams, as I spec'd a couple for him back in the day.

If it's sold already, it doesn't matter now anyway.
