also what colour were the seats ,black ? dark grey?

I turned my grey carpet black with similar stuff.
Worked very well and didn't rub off.

Will do. I've read good reviews only downside is the bottles are small and quite expensive really.

autoglym do a spray dye in rattle cans which is also supposed to be very good for awkward fabric trims such as headliners

I put mine in a garden sprayer and used a stiff brush to work it in.
My mum went mad as she had the outline of a gtt carpet on her grass complete with seatbelt holes and the drivers footwell hole.

if you can get it in a bottle try mixing it with acetone and spray it using a HVLP gun, the acetone melts the coating allowing the dye in and then evaporates leaving the dye in place, the HVLP gun will allow a finer spray at a higher pressure to force the dye deeper into the weave instead of it sitting on the surface, hope this helps :smokin:

Ive put a fair bit on these now and you can still see where the seat belts have been but they do look better, once there dry ill get them outside for a better photo.

Hmmmm. Maybe you could mask off the areas where the seatbelts have been and give it another couple of coats in order to reduce the contrast? Then one over the top of everything again to try and even the finish out.

all done. They havnt turned out to bad , i might have got rid or the seat belt marks rotally with a few more coats.or as said above masking off the dark areas :cool:

They look great and its a cheap mod.

It's about £11 a can I used a whole one just on the rears.
So you could do everything with about 2 I'd say.

Not sure I'm gonna do the fronts just yet as I've had them out twice this month and I can't be arsed getting them out again. Unless I could do it with them in but I risk overspraying

Do the fronts properly once you feel refreshed enough to go thru the ball-ache of removing them again. :agree:
