ok number 2 item

This bung in my bulk head, it has a wire coming through it..not a problem, but then it also has a hose which is hanging on by a thread and isnt attached to anything, is this the boost gauge hose thats built into the dash, is so im guessing i dont need it if i am running a stand alone aftermarket unit.

number one is a one way valve isn't it? to stop boost pressure entering the rocker

number two looks like you suggested, the boost pipe from the OE guage along side the speedo cable

no#1 is fitted to the end of the metal pipe [carb end] that comes off the std turbo elbow.

there is a metal pipe that goes from the turbo elbow to the carb top, just before it reaches the carb top is where that bit fits.
so,, turbo elbow - metal pipe - rubber pipe with above piece - rubber pipe to carb tpiece/join - carbtop.
if youve got a bolt in the back of your turbo elbow/or the holes been welded up you wont need that piece.

Can you take a wider picture of your engine bay. Make sure the carb and turbo are in view, along with any pipework between the two. :)

OK, it looks like you have a single port actuator, and hence the 'cup-mod' style of boost control hoses. The one way valve is part of the original 'boost-compensation' boost control circuit, which requires a two port actuator, and a pipe from the turbo elbow (which you have blanked off with a bolt)

So you don't need the one way valve in your case.
