Around the 3rd line is normal.

No need for any of the low temp' components.

I use oe thermostat - but just for peace of mind I run a low temp fan switch, just so it gives me abit extra time if it doesn't come on

i ran my fan backwards for a few weeks (oops) and even got stuck in an hour or so of motorway gridlock.. it was sucking all that lovely hot engine air and blowing it through the rad keeping it hot, then when i moved kept the temp up:D

didnt blow anything or overheat, just stayed hot.. :smokin:

a low temp stat will have little effect, if your cars gonna blow it will..

my kenlowe fans are great, they drop the temp like a wet pair of knickers:cool:

I bought a low temp switch from CGB and it just wasnt worth it.

My original switch would have the fan cutting in just after the third line, as good as gold. For peace of mind i thought id replace it as one of my old 5s used to cut in straight between the second and third lines. As it turns out the CGB one is no different from standard.

Anyway, mines on standard boost and not played with and ive had no problems with it cutting in at third line.

I run Oe switch too clicks in just after the third line and turns off in-between the second and third. (92/84) fan rarely ever comes on now unlike the lower temp switch witch was on and off all the time.

the people who design the switches and sats actually know what there doing and what the engine needs, so just leave it bee :agree:

Same with mine. The fan used to come on before the stat had opened on my tungy gtt when i got it, annoying as ****

I've fitted an adjustable fan switch sensor that fits in the top hose, this was mainly because it was easier for me when I came to 're wire the whole car.
