is there any difference if you have the actuator hose connected to the front of turbo or is it better to keep connected to carb base.?
Its better having the actuator ref pipe tapped into the compressor housing. If you have a boost leak the turbo wont be overboosting. Looks tidier too, i blanked off the port in the carb on my van.
Interesting, i need to look at my vac pipe set up and see if i can clean it up a little, i still have some standard gubbins in place. My comp housing needs drilling and tapping tho, so it's been way down on the to do list.
I have also just remembered Lynchstar i said i would measure my cooler for you and i have completely forgot, I'm going to be pulling mine apart soon so do you still need some measurements?
No removable grub screw in you compressor housing phil?

Thinking of changing my set up from carb base to turbo. I have the grub screw in place on the compressor, so just got to fit the vac pipe.
Any other benefits, spool up etc.

James ill send you a pic.
This is about the best pic ive got. When the barb is removed from the carb i think an m8 bolt fits in to blank the port off. Spool time didnt alter, just looks tidier.

How well does the steth work brings? Was thinking of doing this myself what's the inn's and out's of doing this, what's needed etc...?
It does the job mate and cheap :) just get a single pipe lazer tools and chop pipe, fit nylon pipe to extend. Got tro be careful with pipe routing to avoid random noise. C1j bolt to the head & any non wet liner engine bolt to block iirc. Scoff is the best for advice on the matter :)
