Am going the front mount route, aim is to fit behind standard bumper and keep fogs. Will probably be cutting out the centre part of the bumper but dont want to loose to much

Seems theres these sizes to choose from
550x140x65
550x180x65
550x230x65

Want to get as much behind there as i can, will the 230 one fit?

Also will this kit cover a piperun for the 5? thanks

the pipe run will fit however the quality of the bends are poor as they are not silicon ply mate there like a rubber type that go brittle under the heat i know as i bought this kit

I want to try and fit one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbo-INTERCOOLER-24x11x3-Mazda-RX7-V-Mount-FMIC_W0QQitemZ120353446523QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Ca r_Parts_Accessories?hash=item120353446523&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318

I think it would be best for a short pipe run past the alternator and radiator.

i used the pro alloy one for the reason both outlets on the ic came out the same size so made the pipe run easy. check profile for pics

did you cut the bottom strip off the crossmember and fit it underneath the top strip on crossmember like this?

I would go for 550x140x65 (it has enough capacity) with 2.5 pipes. Will fit behind std. bumper even without cutting front crossmember (not sure will you need to cut just a under the fog lights) while smaller pipes will reduce lag (a bit) but would be much easier to install under the bonnet.

you might need the measurements between the coolers inlet/outlet as i rekon you might have to install that slightly off centre.
But if it was a smaller unit that might work wounders.

Whats the pipework size options?

so smaller pipework means less lag, and bigger pipework for people running big boost:confused:

Am aiming my setup to hit 18-20psi for fast road use, and want to do a few good runs up pod. Have fitted a t25 turbo with a .47 rear housing what size pipework should i use

thanks

Have been looking, seems theres 2 choices for intercooler, either a 64mm inlet/outlet or a 57mm, whats best?

What size pipe goes over the carb top, and what size over the turbo end

What size pipework should i use with my alloy pipe and silicone hoses? forge use 51mm?

thanks

The outlet from the turbo and the inlet to the carb are both 2" (52mm) so i'd use 2" pipework throughout the system mate, will cause no problem using it.

I use 52mm pipework while in and out on the IC are 60mm so air is slowing down a bit in the IC. Maybe it cools better, not sure. It is lot easier to use such diameter especially around alternator.

You need a 2" (51mm, thought it was 52mm) joiner to fit to turbo and carb top.
