Could anyone please tell me the spring length unfitted brand new (still in the box) of the renault 5 gt turbo piper VSSR5 high lift springs. Mine are fitted and kent need to know the size to match them for the new inner springs.

Thanks in advance guys.:)

Cheers dave. I can get loads of double spring setups but not many companies sell the actual inner spring as the doubles are slightly fixed together (as im led to believe). I want to keep the piper outers as they owe me 50. Or do you mean the XE inners (separate fit with the pipers) will fit? Which will save me alot more catalogue surfing!

I'd have to check.
If not sell the pipers and buy the XE ones?

Thinking about it, the piper ones combined with the inners would probably be too much.

Fair comment dave I agree. Do you know any specific part numbers for the astra springs? Nice one for the help.

cup manual allready states to change the collets with prolonged high rpm at set intervals(cant remember what that is) std spring with an additional spring must put a fair strain on the cap/collet.
Are you caps/collets modified in any way? guessing your using the metro competition collet/cap?

Yes Tony they are the competition ones like the valves.

Ive got del at kent and tom at piper sending me some trial springs. The astra ones are far too expensive 220+ but ive found a comprimise at double honda vetec ones as they are "competition oe" 8k+ anyway and are on the shelf, just got to sort out a stem retainer otherwise the inner spring is going walkies.

Half way there now, you could do this mad with a million different parts and achieve the same outcome but thanks for the help dave and others as you've got me on the right path.
