Thanks Robbo, prefer not to talk about cash here but I'm realistic and so should the seller ...
it would now take quite a big wedge of cash to part with mine. good luck hunting down the right car
If you are after an original straight Raider you will be lucky to find a handful of them, as for value I'm sure offers of £8k plus might take mine away from me with the parts collected with it as well.

8K.. Wow ! Must be a low milage minter with full history so ...
As I said sellers must be realistic .. As I am
52k miles, all service history from when I have owned it and that is a lot of receipts for parts purchased. This has been restored to even down to the little clips in the engine bay, a lot of brand new hoses or wiring, original mats, non torn seats and mint door cards. Plus about 2.5k worth of parts including brand new carb which sits lovely and still thinking I might put it on the car but undecided yet as got a mint one which Mike sorted out for me.
Plus there is a raider up for £4.5k but not correct seats / wheels which the seats are going to be most expensive to source.

Where is this raider? Trying to source one myself :sad2:
Searched on google for Renault 5 gt turbo raider for sale and changed filter to only show new hits in last month. If you have no luck I will find it tomorrow as found it at work. Not sure where car was thiugh

5 years it took me to find a clean example, the first one i got i was going to restore as came with fsh and in all honesty there were hardly any decent ones coming up for sale then so had no option,so i started to buy panels and parts
5 years later i eventually got the car i was looking for which was as i felt as clean as i was going to get!!!
Theres plenty raiders that come up for sale, but theres hardly any worthy ones that come up
My plans are still to restore the raider but as a conversion,as the clean raider is o.e...
Really the truth being is there getting very few and thin, and if your looking for a clean one be prepared to accept a car that will still need some work.....
One thing i know in 10 years time to come when theres probably automatic pilot mode in the modern cars and all that jazz, ill still roll my raider out in the summer and give it a little boost and for sure the grin that gives me is far greater than any other car around.....as money can buy a lot of things but you cannot turn back time and to see a car thats from back in the time that is a pleasure for me
Get what you can fella, and if your hearts in a 5,id get another for spares as it will be needed!!!!!!

Heres a nice one on the old e.bay 230969091091 and by looking at how the prices are heading Bigfoots looks a good buy with all his spares :)
Just saw that, is it really worth that sort of money

Personally I'd say no, it's hardly mint, got sun roof which ain't factory either. If your going to ask for that kind of money, you would at least take proper HD photos and of the under side etc! Poor effort that advert to be honest.

£10K .. Really???
Ah guys that's a crazy price ..
It was 10k new in 1990!
Yeah mine hasn't got a sunroof, plus original radio, plus original mats, changed over expansion tank to a new one, plus no ugly aftermarket ignition leads :crap:
Wonder whos car that is from the club or previous member on here.
Waiting for recoated engine brackets from Mike to freshen up the engine bay even more on mine.
Those seats on that car do look great though. Mine really does need a deep clean through which is the one thing I haven't had a chance to go through. But like anything always things to do to these cars

Agree, brackets are in hand. Looks a nice example but there are a few things not right.:)

Raider does look lovely, advert is not as good as the 4 star classics ones though.
Also it's got a (dare I say it!!) bleed valve!!!
Good luck to the person selling it, people keep griping about the price etc, go look at it and see if its worth it or not. But I reakon you'll be waiting a while for the right one which suits yr price.:)

with all these prices being thrown around , its only worth what someone would actually pay.

Yep for once Scott you are right :P
I personally wouldn't buy a 25 year Old hatch back for 10K. Nick (flight666) is selling a pucker example phase 2 for less than half that price.
Why are Raiders worth more than other 5's? Genuine question I don't know the answer to
I own a raider but it don't make it different to any other 5, :scratch:I only got it cos there weren't any others for sale at the time:)
