no hand brake

my hand brake disconected yesterday is it easier to pull the carpets up and do it or should i get underneath the car to do it?

problem:: as i pulled it up yesterday it just went all the way up and i heard it disconect.

advice please???

Maybe one of the handbrake cables has snapped. Get underneath mate and see if you can pull the inner cable out from either side of the rear calipers , just pull on the end of the metal cable ends. To repair this mate you will have to get underneath , cant be done from inside :)

kk. just put it up on a jack to try and get my axel stands under and the drive started sinking and it rolled off the jack so im going down my mates to use the ramps.:laugh:

stil couldnt get under it so im going to have to put it over a pit.

stick it in gear and chock one of the front wheels ,it cant go no where ;)

the jack tilted and fell over thats why it fell off.

I think you need to invest in a decent trolley jack, not the wobbly turd supplied with the car...

yes i know and i will do. i couldnt even get it on the ramps then because its too low.lmao
