Reluctantly, I’m advertising my Campus Turbo project car, hopefully to someone that can finish what I started! Inspired by the cars I’d seen on RTOC I took it upon myself to start my own project: convert a poverty spec Campus into a turbo sleeper. Unfortunately, when I had time to work on it I didn’t have the cash – now I have the cash, I don’t have the time for a project so it has to go!

The car:

Model: Renault 5 Campus, N-reg (1995)
Mileage: 53,624
Original Engine: C3J (1.4 SPI) 1390cc
Colour: Metallic blue

Good points:

Shell has had the scuttle/windscreen surround replaced.
N/S sill has had the rust cut out and been welded up
The engine bay has been de-rusted and re-painted satin black

Bad points:

Car is sold as a non-runner and currently sorn'd
The car needs a new windscreen to be fitted

What’s included:

Two spare carbs, one rebuilt (jetting unknown)
Uncut boost pipes
Standard IC
Front and rear GTT bumpers (tungsten)
GTT spoiler (sprayed back, originally red)
Seam welded sub frame
Polybushed wishbones
Solid top mounts
New O.E front dampers
Brand new GTT gear knob
16v dash (upper only)
Repainted campus trim (all satin black)
Spare copper core radiator
New O.E fuel pressure regulator
Spare Campus cylinder head (72.5mm) - Perfect for a high comp build (9:1)
Spare GTT camshaft (standard)
Spare valve train components (rockers, rail etc.)
Standard AEI
Turbo oil feed take off and braided hoses and fittings
New standard battery (varta)
Rebuilt T25 (needs to be rebalanced)
Touch up rattle can

Engine:

Fully re-built to Renault tolerances
Repainted block (Dynarod orange)
New mains
New big ends
New thrust bearings
New water pump
New liner seals
New crank seals
Rebuild GTT oil pump (k-tec overhaul kit)
Baffled sump
New gaskets (1.9 mellior head gasket)
New rings
New stem seals
Lapped valves
Standard Inlet/exhaust manifolds
New oil filter
New oil filter sandwich plate
New Valeo GTT clutch kit

In reality, the car is probably worth significantly more in parts (especially the harder to get hold of bits) but I’m willing to let it go for what seems like a bargain to see someone finish the project. The car is located near Edinburgh and would obviously need to be trailered away.

Pictures can be supplied upon request.

£1200 o.v.n.o.
Please PM me with your offer.

Hi folks,

Had a few PM's - thanks for your interest!

Re: parts - not really looking to split the car just now, would rather see it go to someone who can complete what I've started! (Or take it as a whole and split it themselves - don't have enough time to twirl spanners anymore you see)!

However...if I do go down that route...

Big foot has already got first dips the gear knob and the fpr folks.

If anyone would like photos, PM me your email and I'll get some to you (no idea how to upload)!

Thanks,
Rob.

Obviously, front panels removed for overhaul of the front end, bonnet, O/S wing etc.

Have some reciepts for new parts fitted to the engine.

If anyone has any specific photo requests let me know and I'll do my best to oblige.

Cheers,
Rob.

I genuinely think you should finish it! I would buy it, but I would rather see it tearing up Scotlands finest.
windscreen could be done in 2 hours.
engine in and wired up.
