are these the same car? and anyone any clues what makes it worth an extra 2200quid days after it was bought from piston heads for 1400....:scratch:

Looks like the same car to me. Some people just think we're all mugs and take the pi$$ basically. Why don't you send the seller a message and ask him?

theres makin a profit then theres takin the **** u ent gonna get that sorta money 4 a 5 like that these days. as u all know u can get some really nice 1s 4 half that money hes askin. + its just after crimbo and every1s skint :( all been blown on beer and turkey :agree::laugh:

think it was on ebay also and didnt reach alot if i remember rightly!!!

If you notice, now it has 12months MOT.

Maybe he put some work in to get it through the MOT, maybe he had to swap some parts over etc etc. :rolleyes:

fairs fair i guess thats how trader earn a few quid but fook thats a mark up, work or not.. i dont trust any traders putting a ticket on a car, i could get my mot guy to write me an ticket for my wanger if i asked nice:dearme:

i think the MOT was already on it wasnt it? lookin at the first ad, it says "new MOT and taxed until 08/09" the classified ad on ebay then just says "12 months MOT and 8 months tax" - little confusin but i had made the assumption its the same MOT and TAX on both, could be wrong?:scratch:

Sad fact is, 99% of 5's are worth far more as parts these days. He is taking the piss with that asking price though. This aint 1998.

Also, as has been pointed out above, a traders ticket is worth about feck all.

I posted about this motor a while back.

Someone won it on ebay for 1200 and I messaged with a nice little congrats and saying i knew some of the history about the car.

Again I have to say its a real shame to see it passed around.

I know the car, its the brother in law of a mate of mine. Not seen it for a while but was at my house earlier in the year. Not my cup of tea but was quite a tidy car really.

something value is only what people are prepared to pay at the end of the, if you think he's pulling a fast one i stopped in a esso garage on the way home from work with a work mate cos he needed to pumb his tyre up and they want 50p to use the air line!
