Thought I was having issues selecting gears and then it all went loose. This will be why then! Now to try n get my other one to select the correct gears. Is there a trick to doing this?

Select reverse with the box, move the gearlever to reverse and nip up. Adjust slightly if necessary.

Is reverse the position on the box where the selector is pressed right against the box? Might go out and quickly see if i can sort it now...

Press the selector up against the box and towards the cab. You'll be able to feel it go into reverse as it clonks in differently to the other gears.

Push the plate up into the gearbox and then the pull towards the gear stick. Well that's how mine was anyway

how did you manage to snap/bend it in the first place? You must have some pretty big arms :agree:

I snapped mine on the van before after a few too many flat shifts...had to whack the box in 2nd and drive home with it tie wrapped up lol

I was having clutch issues and the gear linkage wasn't aligned quite right as well as there was a rust patch on the linkage (discovered after I took it off). Basically i tried to push it in first and it just crumpled away.

Luckily I've stripped the matt black 5 so I have a garage full of spares ;)
