View Full Version : Sandwich Plate/ Reducer Fixings
Sorry if this is an old question but I've had a look through the search function and can't find exactly the answer that I need.
I've got a mocal oil cooler that I'm in the process of fitting, and I need a suitable reducer that goes from the braided pipes to the standard sandwich plate.
I already have one that came with the kit (2nd hand from a member) and it's a 15mm connection. So from what I've read the standard thread size is 5/8 BSP so I need a 15mm - 5/8 reducer and I cannot find one anywhere - been to two plumbing suppliers and they've had nothing like it?
Any help appreciated!

Cheers buddy,
Can't see what I need directly on there, but i'll drop them an email, thanks
Just ring mocal them selfs, I rang them today, told them what car I had,he knew straight away what size fittings I needed from my sandwich plate, and he set me up an account?
It was easier with my setup being all mocal maybe, pipes and all, but £5.00 for 2 double male adapters delivered! Should be here tomorrow, result:agree:

got to jump on and praise mocal/think automotive
I emailed them asking how much for a new oil seal for my mocal sandwhich plate - they sent 1 out FOC
I was more than happy to buy a seal, but top guys... shows there is companys out there that care still, and for any similar bits I will go to them purely because of the good service... little things like this (yes its only a cheap seal) really count. Unlike markeyb's experience with a different company...

Yes they are a very good company, I enquired about a seal for my inline oil stat and the bloke on the other end just said I'll send you a service kit for it foc, I didn't even pay for the postage. £12 I think that would have cost me and I've got loads of spare parts including a new stat if mine dies:) happy days.
Just rang Think Automotive and they knew exactly what I needed and have sent me two FREE of charge, can't quite believe it, what awesome customer service!
