They were seriously powerful when compared to the halfords ones.
The only way to fit was to let it connect to the sump and drag it into the hole and fight it so that it doesn't cross thread. I left mine in my old engine as a treat for when the new owner tries to do a oils change :p

:laugh: I wasn't expecting it to be so strong, When I pulled the plug out of the sump I had to battle with it to get it off

I think I bought one from CGB a while ago? Can't see it on their website now though?....

thats what i thought it would be but m18 is slightly wider than the oe sump bung so i think its m16 - il order one and let you know

Please do, as I ordered an M16 plug & it didn't fit (too small), so either I was sent an incorrectly labeled plug (ie, it's an M14), or the M18 they've sent me (which does fit) is also incorrectly labeled & it is in fact an M16.

This was from an Ebay shop mind, and not the one listed above.

I can confirm it is m16x1.5 - it fits
