I'm trying to get my fan and alternator working but only have the green Haynes. Does anyone know if this part of the wiring is the same across the models and if not can someone scan the pages I need and pm them to me?

If I can get this done today I will have a 5 on the road after 1 year of it being off the road :)

You could just re-wire it and simplify.

Run the live from the alternator straight to the fan live then run the fan earth through the fan switch and back to the earth. Job done.

At the moment my alternator, fan and temperature gauge aren't working. Trying to wrap my head around electrics. Argh!

Thanks for the link I'll take a look now.

I have now got the temperature gauge working but still nothing from the alternator or fan.

What line on the temp gauge should the fan kick in?

Also the two wired I have going to the alternator are at about 3V. Is this correct? Bodged wiring looms are rather tedious!

Done! The only thing not working now is main beam thanks to a hid kit being installed.
