Hi guys, was bidding on a rocker cover on ebay, put my first max bid in at £5.00, got outbid, put my next bid in at £7.50 reason being there was another at this price, outbid, so put it up for one last blast at £10 and outbid again. Fair enough, the other guy can take it if he wants it that badly, I'll go for the other one. Next thing I get is a message to say I have won the bid, apparently the other guy retracted his bid, I didn't think this was possible.

Anyone seen this before?

Thats what it looked like to me, its not alot of money but if thats what it was I wouldn't really want to give him his £10, don't know how ebay would see it though.

Well if the 7.50 bid was by the guy that pulled out then surely you just offer the original fiver :)

There would have been more than 2 bidders in this case. If a bid retracts all their bids are cancelled and it would have gone to the next highest bidder or back to the original fiver.

Normally you get a second chance offer in that situation and can buy for the price of your last bid.:scratch:

I think there were 3 bidders including myself, its showing one of the other bidders. He has a 100% positive feedback so i think i will give it the benefit of the doubt, not worth fighting over for a few quid. Probably is genuine.

You might be lucky on this one and being cheap who cares really.. Had these offers after being outbid a few times, I'm wise to it and just say no thanks..
