View Full Version : Electric window motor/regulator.
Can these be bought new/refurb'd, bought 2 - both second hand and running slow.
Try mike buddy. Failing that I was advised to spray the motor with some wd40 to loosen it a bit
Tried direct wiring from a 12v, wd40 the wires and connectors, different switches, greasing the runners but still the same.
Don't want to keep buying 2nd hand ones to have the same issue.

Totally agree fella, my drivers side one slows down now and then. It's a pain in the ass. But I spose after 25 years they are expected to be a bit slower. :/
It would be great to get these motors refurbished somehow.

i think its more the metal cable goes hard so slows it down
also the seals around the outer door seal and inner door seal go hard and then cause window to not work very fast
Thanks chaps :) if all else fails I have just bought a pair of manual window mechanism from a campus ;) but would prefer the flick of a switch :)
