Well the 5 that I bought last year was in too much of a state for me to be able to repair it, I just don't have the space unfortunately. I know that these are getting rare on the roads so I thought someone with the space and skill want want to weld this up and rebuild it?

I'll try to get some pictures taken when i get home from work tonight.

Is it just a shell or a complete car with a rotten shell?

It's just a shell, I stripped it down to respray.

Currently on the racking in my garage or going into my yellow 5. I'll be listing all the bits once the dr gives me the all clear to get back on the garage. Just thought I'd see if anyone fancied a welding challenge before I weigh the shell in.

Photos may help "rusty shell" could be anything from a sill replacement to a whole bottom 6" of the car....;)

Well I have just had the stitches out of my head and the Doctor has given me the all clear so I'll be back in the garage tonight. I'll get pictures.

A quick description of rust is:

- front wheel arch to shock tower seams L + R
- Rear Drivers window sealing edge
- Patches on the front crossmember panel
- badly repaired drivers inner sill to floor
- badly repaired inner boot wall passenger side
- 50p piece sized patches throughout

I am tempted to just chuck it in the barn and keep it but I am in dire need of space to finish off my yellow 5, my mini clubman estate turbo and my 1930's hearse. Just don't have the space to do big welding jobs unfortunately.

Ask yourself what don't I have to weld.. There are so many other area that are rust points and you have some, not the others.. Is the grass greener.

I already have another that isn't rusty (finished putting the engine into it last night), just thought I'd see if there is anyone out there fancying a challenge. It's got one week until the scrap man has it.
