First post!
as the title says.
my gearbox dosnt like going into 5th and some slight grinding in some gears so am after a new box.
also the bottom end of the engine has become rather noisy so im reckoning this needs replacing :( or a whole engine may just be easier.

Going to bump this to help John out this is needed urgently to keep another gtt on the road any local members got the bits?? Or bring to surrey meet?

As in Mike then yes I think John has really hoping other locals have something be it a decent block needing a head etc... and decent box.

try jimgtt on here, he has an engine and gearbox 4 sale this is his engine
GTT engine, freshly rebuilt (new piston/ liners/ bottom end bearings/shells/valve stem seals/timing chain tensioner/uprated headgasket/new uprated headbolts/new water pump reciepts for all parts from CGB@end of oct 2012) (carb not included)engine has done just over 1000 miles £400ono

Have then still in the car he can see them running and driving and then we can pull it out.
Bump still needed on a budget, Mike Pm'd you for some part's I may consider sorting the existing bottom end out worst case.
I have an engine that dropped a valve so pistons, head and liners are knackered but as far as im aware the bottom end is fine. I also have the gearbox that came with this engine but it is missing the clutch cover/stabilising plate. If you're interested pm me.

should prob mention im in the sussex area so the closer the better. dont really have time to be traveling up the country,
