i'm seriously busy getting my r9 t16 over 300bhp this year but i'm wondering if the 200mm 4-paddle helix will be adequate enough.

anyone ever maxed one out? (guess i'll be getting around or over 300lb/ft)

cheers,
Arthur

Yep I did on my C1j :D

I would go for a 215mm diameter 6 puk using the later volvo 480t cover. You could mate this all to a volvo 440 n/a flywheel assuming your not using a c1j of course?

Matt is right, the 215mm 6 paddle would be a better option withe either the Volvo of megane flywheel, I'm personally using the megane item as mine is a megane F7R engine

there must be a twinplate option.....one or 2 guys had them here!!

there are but they are fooking expensive!

how much will the 6-paddle valeo combo hold?
megane or f4r flywheel in my case as i'm using a f7r engine..
(shame i missed the offer of JP and later tnt andy's....)

and at how much torque did you max out the 200 helix jobbie Dave?

cheers guys!

I had 260ft/lb at 2800rpm! Pretty sure it would have handled more.

what about the 215mm paddle coupled with a valeo volvo cover. when searching i read that Scoff had good experience with this but i want to know for sure it will be up to the job.

complete helix kit obviously does the job but a 6-paddle 215mm kit costs 477 balls :(

held 315ftlb and did'nt get any sign of slip either, that was using the helix cover plate, you do get what you pay for with helix, the volvo 480 turbo cover plate by valeo wont hold as much as somebody i know found out:laugh:

Mines a 215 172 reverse paddle on a drilled c1j flywheel, no slip even at silly boost and flat shifting 4th to 5th

hmmm better to get the complete Helix jobbie just to be safe i guess.

what do you mean with reversed paddle mate?

its got a cerametalic material on the disk around the the 6 pucks instead of on them, dont think it will have that much more grip over the paddle type /puck item, might be a little easier to feather the clutch to biting point thats all, and not convinced markys plate material is cerameralic either, didnt look right  but the pressure plate will make a difference:)

You can always increase the pressure by stepping the flywheel a little.. However, sometimes they rip the pucks off with the increased pressure :D

lol! cheers for replying guys.

guess i'm on the hunt for a 215mm 6-puck helix jobbie.
if anyone hears of someone who has one and is willing to sell please let me know :)

do you know how much torque he ran?

315ft lb is the torque figure no? Not sure what it is in newton meters or kg in or the myriad of other torque measurement scales :D

i mean the guy who slipped the paddle volvo combo.

iirc lbft equals nm by *1,34. so around 420 nm's
