Newbie looking for a 5 turbo

Hello one and all

Owned a k-plate 5 turbo about 15 years ago- been through loads of cars since then, mainly performance renaults, had a 172 Clio, 2 Megane R26's - 1 of which was in pfc mag 3 times last year - was samco's demo car and also streamline carbon's demo car - sold it back last November and now want a new project

Learned alot over the years and feel more comfortable buying another 5 now I'm a bit older and a bit better off financially etc

So looking for a 5 preferably with a very good engine but not overly worried about body work as want to paint it lunar grey (as with the v6 Clio and megane r26r) - though don't really want anything rusty and falling to bits

I've pm'd bigdur about his black one but anything else you might be thinking of selling let me know - money waiting - don't seem to be any minters up for sale at the mo - ideally I'd like one that's been restored and I just need to put my mark on it

Admittedly its clean but its alot of money that grey one - if the engine had been worked on Id jump at it but with it being totally standard Id have to spend a fortune getting it how Id like.
Ideally id like one like Johnny5's - Engine is spot on (to be fair whole car is spot on) and then I can get the engine removed, tidied etc and have the whole shell painted in the new colour.
There is a grey one on ebay and also on here for £2500 odd but rear spoiler and bumper are putting me off I think
Im a bad OCD sufferer and everything needs to be right - im sure a perfect one will crop up
Oh and I live in Cardiff so the closer you are to me the better - Essex (colchester) is a bloody long way! does look a good one that raider though

I have a five but its in bits and needs welding. Hopefully will get put back on the road this year.

got offered good money for it - sold it for what I bought it for nearly 5 years earlier. Admittedly had spent thousands on it but seemed like a good idea - wish I hadnt sold it now but never mind!

One thing that always annoyed me with the megane ( not the cars fault) was that my garage is behind my house and the meganes are so wide I was too scared to try and get it past my house - an R5 would fit without even slowing down! lol Be nice to be able to have a proper project that I can put away for the winter etc

Have you tried mike at gt turbo spares he mite have complete cars if not he may know of something

Just gave him a ring - he had a few for sale but doesnt advertise them so difficult to see what sort of condition they are in etc over the phone - have asked for some pics

I have 27 R5 Gt Turbos in stock so well worth popping down as you aren't too far away.

Worth spending a bit more and buying off mike. Good honest bloke, I bought my car off him and would certainly buy again from him.

Was up there the other day gettin arial for my pearl and he has just got a not to bad raider in that is clean!
