If your in no rush I'm taking mine off at the end of the month there too uncomfortable with the konis..
No mega rush mate. By uncomfortable, does it give a 'bouncy' ride?
Are they the Apex springs?

Apex springs get slated in the Clio world for being very 'bang, crash, wallop'! :crap:
Paul, let me know when you've removed them, and drop me a PM with a price you've got in mind for them :)

I've bought a few sets of Apex springs off ebay mate at a good price, found them to work very well but never used them on Koni shocks

The only Apex ones on Ebay that I've seen are either -35mm or -60mm.

I was told they were -50 I will Definatley check after they are off they are Definatley lower than my other set.
The springs should be stamped with an Apex model/part number:
150-1010 are -35mm type.
150-1020 are -60mm type.

My 50mm Apex springs have part number 150-1020 on
Defo listed as -60mm, or at least that's what Apex quote on their website for that part number, as does every other website/company selling Apex springs?

I rang K-tec before i purchased mine second hand to ask what part number they listed for their 50mm springs and it was the same part number thats now listed as 60mm everywhere else. Only trying to help mate :crap:
Aii, appreciate your post/help :) Maybe K-tec are advertising them incorrectly then, and they are in fact -60mm?
Or Apex have got their numbers ass about face?
Just to follow this up, I emailed Apex today, and their reply was that there isn't, and never has been, a -50mm kit that they've produced for the GTT.
They confirmed the part numbers are as I listed above, and that -35mm or -60mm are the only options available.

Naughty K-tec :dearme:
Also just to add a bit of fuel, on the K-tec website it says "as low as you can go without changing your shocks"......yet Apex on their website state "must be used with shortened shock absorbers"
Confusing
In my experience the ktec apex springs were low as feck with koni shocks mart. The van tyres were catching the arches when turning!
Anyway i have a nice lightly used pair of -35mm apex in my garage;)
Maybe it's a case apex list them as 60mm but in the real world they lower by 50mm so ktec and bb back in the day just said 50mm to save any phone calls asking where's there missing 10mm of lowering is.
Logg, was it Apex springs that BB used to sell back in the day?

Yep I bought the full springs and shocks set about ten years ago from them. Still rolling on the springs now but with the new Koni's
Were the springs coloured black?
Were the springs coloured black?
No yellow springs shocks where red
Bb tuning used yellow springs for 50mm drop, red for 35
So my purple ones... What the smegging are they??
Hmm, more confusion.
I only asked about the BB ones, as their springs were fitted to Whitey (or at least that's what Phil B said anyway), yet they were coloured black.
Unfortunately Jimmy took them off & fitted o.e springs, and has since sold the BB ones on. Shame, as they gave the car a good stance :(
Sounds like you'll be needing Miss Marple to sort this out for you mate.
Or mark Sloan aka DVD

How about Marple sorts out the missing 10mm and DVD works out how Marts post have become visible all of a sudden.
