ok lady`s me and dave aka -topcat- have gone about getting the tungsten grey side decals remade. we have had some success too! we are aiming at getting 10 sets made to get them for a reasonable price.
we have had these coppied from an original set of o.e.m renault decals. the copies are very good and we will post a picture up as soon as a complete set has been produced. they look spot on and i strongly belive you wont be able to tell which one`s which.
it would be nice to start a list / group buy on these as the money is coming out of our pockets. if theres any questions pm me and we will reply as soon as we can.
a full set ie . driverside , passengerside ,rear quarters and front lower wings
- £95-
this should be the best quality and cheapest around.

I believe the pearly ones are different Westy. Mike has OE decals though. I will look into the other decals in due course, but want to walk before we can run. Will keep you posted though mate.

I've been looking at the pearly pics on google and they look the same as the white/tungy decal. I'm sure one of the guys on here will know for sure if they are the same. Maybe even give renault parts department a call, they'll tell you.
I'm jealous you have a pearler!! Care to swap? Lol

all pm`s answered. to those who keep asking about different colours etc we will get to them one at a time . but it will be sorted:agree:

Evening chaps, apologies for the slight delay. The printer is unable to meet me tonight, but I am 100% meeting him tomorrow. Pictures will be posted ASAP.
It's unfortunate, but I want to make sure these decals are 100% correct before sending these out to you all.

ok a very small update,heres a picture of the progress so far for the tungy/white r5. me and dave have been working with the printer guy to get these right. the colours are now spot on but we still have to sort the fade. we are are gona have a finished complete set by monday evening . we are trying our best to get these bang on. this should just show we are making progress:agree:
not the best picture. it was used and fitted to the tungy to check colour contrasts. THIS IS NOT THE FINAL ITEM . it will be spot on monday.

We're uploading pics of the complete set off a car and on a car before we take any money mate.
We want to make sure everybody is 100% happy with them before we send them out. We don't want to take your money without an ETA on when you're likely to receive them.

Bank holiday weekend has slowed the progress til Wednesday next week. It's been a long drawn out process- basically all the spare time I've had has been to sort these out. I'm taking my car up Wednesday and fitting a set so pics can be taken of what they look like fitted.
Should be available I'm hoping the end of next week. It takes 90 minutes to print one full set for a car.
As soon as these are readily available we will let u know ASAP.
They should 99% accuarate to OE spec. So well worth the wait chaps.

the trouble is like what dave says people drop out.and we needed to make sure there was defently 10 people who would want them befor we set to work or we would have wasted our time and money. iv had pm`s from lot of people now so how about this , i will post the list up and if people on the first list can confirm they are defently having a set then they will 100% get a set. fair???
just stick yes next to your name if you defently want them.
so ie.

Probably going to make myself unpopular here but aren't you getting a little ahead of yourselves, you are asking peeps to make a decision on something that they have not even seen yet. It seems the demand is there and everybody is excited and grateful that good and relatively cheap copies are now becoming available but i suspect you will generate greater demand when you get some good quality pictures up.

It's great that this has been achieved and I for one am very great up to both the lads for sorting this. And they did say above that if anyone is unhappy with the product then they will refund fully. You can't argue with that.

could do with someone with a white five fitting these so they would be clearer and could get a better photo so you can see the correct fade .
there isnt many printer/scanners that can copy these. so you can imagen how much of a pain these were. the original decals were put onto a white back ground and copied many times. so these really are as good as the originals

depending on how these 10 go. if all sell and everyone is happy then me nd dave will pay to get more done. its just alot of money to buy more than 10 at a time out of our own pocket. but we are happy to do it if everyone is serious .

Thanks Chris. The quality pic isn't great as I only have my iPhone. The car had been washed and waxed that day hence alot of reflection off the stones etc on the ground.
As said before- these have been copied off the originals supplied by Scott from renault. Also the fade and colour etc will change depending on the colour behind the decal (as they're supposed to).
Ultimately everyone has a choice- £95 from us or £200 plus from Renault. :)
I would say the fade is correct and mine are wrong.
They're not genuine decals btw, the only copies that were avaliable a few years ago :)

Please bear in mind we have had original renault decal and spent hours and hours matching these. It's taken best part of 2 months to do

Nothing secret, just not got round to putting a build thread up yet as in twos minds and wasn't sure if anyone will be able to handle a thread over loaded with 1080hd pictures :laugh:

They only look that way cos my car had lacquer peel so we moved it above it to fit it chap. These have been cut to the same size as the renault ones we have. :)
And yes 100% the fade will stand out more on a white 5 alot clearer which is the case with the genuine decal. Hopefully someone in the first 10 buyers has a white 5 and will load up some pics when they fit them

They look superb. We've agreed to refund people if they aren't happy with them (as long as they haven't been peeled off). So at least people have peace of mind that they can be returned if they don't like the look of them when they arrive. We can't be fairer than that.
In my opinion these are a lot closer to renaults decals than the ones that were previously on my car. I'd say they are 99% accurate to renault decals.

there not availible anymore. pop down renault nd ask. i belive someone has brought up the last lots of them. so copies are good now matey. and no ones wants to spend 200quid . these are half the cost and exatly the same .

the main reason it started as dave wanted a set on his tungy and i wanted a set for a white five . so we worked together to make these happen. plus not everyone has 200 quid to throw at decals. 100 quid is enough, and it will help alot of people have there five back to o.e looking.again i cant see the issue???
as said sell yours on, get some copies. no one will no the difference.

If ever you're sending anything of any importance/value, then use Special Delivery. It's not 100% bang on, but it's Royal Mail's flagship service, and if we feck up on a Special (loose it, damage it, leave it with a neighbour without permission, sign for it), we can get sacked on the spot. Therefore, everybody tends to look after them :laugh:
If anything happens to a Recorded - Oh well! :scared:
I never use Recorded, unless specified to by the recipient. It's the biggest waste of money service out there.

the postage we have done as cheap as possible to help. paypal fee`s on these are £4.57 so we are losing our own money.

I may be wrong but its charging you for using your card but if you have money in your pay pal account already then you don't get charged i think :confused:

Pearl is different mate. I have a pearl and bought some decals for a white 5 as that was all I could get from Renault. But then if the guys decide to duplicate the correct decals for a pearl I would be up for a set :agree:

Not took mine out of the packaging yet as I want to keep them in minty mint condition for when my 5 has been sprayed. And I have the fun of peeling my old ones off yet too :confused:
I think, like mentioned above, you will have no issue shifting these if you bung them on eBay with a profit margin included. They should fly :p and remember I invested £1 in your business venture so I expect a regular profit payout ;)
So the next question, any tips for fitting these so that they go on well with no bubbles etc??

Personally when the time finally comes to apply these, I would recommend getting them fitted by a sign writer company, nothing worse then ending up with wonky stickers! :ashamed:

I'm glad they turned up early and even happier that you are all happy with your purchases.
Fitment wise- I would recommend that you find a local decal specialist to fit them.
Also get a specialist to remove any existing decals you may have.
Remove or loosen your arches to fit the decals properly, original ones were fitted before the arches were fitted.
And finally! The decals are the correct height- they do not meet at the line of the quarter or the door. They sit just below it as the original ones did :)

It's tricky with the white fade cos it comes out pink if not screened right :/

Yeah mate we packaged them in tubes as they're bullet proof. Plus they're easy to tuck away for guys that aren't fitting them straight away :)
