Hi all,

I want to adjust the acc pump slightly to increase fueling on part throttle! I have set it with a 5mm drill bit but afr's are a little lean.

Should I be loosening the nut or tightening it to increase the fueling?

Also, I'm at 500miles mark now running the engine in, but am nervous about giving it the FULL beans :D

How many miles do people recommend on newly built engines before they rag the **** out of it?:D

Haynes just talks 500 so am I good for full Santa pod type driving:devil:

Wallace when u say lean where is it lean? Tickover? Part throttle?

Change the oil and filter and clean the turbo filter (if u have one).

Then go for it!!! I've never really done more than 200 miles 'running in' also if its going to break they break! Lol

Good luck

lean on part throttle is good = more mpg.

on my afr, it fluctuates between 14 and 15 at part throttle/cruising along

its when at full chat/on boost you need it to be spot on :agree:

I wouldn't worry about part throttle tbh, as already said it'll give you better MPG. (that said as long as the car is driving ok)

Full throttle has to be right.

Thanks guys,

It wasn't running well to be honest, bogged down and a flat spot from pull away, then dropping to 16-17 on part throttle and same again not driving well.

Had a play about (loosening & tightening;)) loosened the nut/accelerator pump 3/4 turn and its made all the difference:agree::agree:

Driving like a dream now:D

Best of all cranked the boost up and gave it some abuse tonight:devil::devil:

AWESOME:devil::devil::D:D
