I have 2 oil feeds here in my collection, earlier type
http://www.cgbmotorsport.net/turbo-oil-feed-lower-section-type-a-1079-p.asp

and later type
http://www.cgbmotorsport.net/turbo-oil-feed-lower-section-type-b-1080-p.asp

So the only difference is the early type used 1 sensor for both oil pressure and oil level?

And the later did it off 2 seperate sensors - or is there any other differences, less flow etc? And the wirring to them is the same? Does anyone know which colour goes to which pin on the earlier type?

I have a later type oil feed aswell, but no sensors attached. Which sensor goes in the lower position and which in the higher position. I cant find a 'oil pressure' sensor... even on cgb they only list

'oil pressure warning light sensor'
'oil warning light switch'

neither of these will get my oe pressure gauge working?

Has anyone got a pic of a oe later type oil feed with sensors attached, cheers

just to add more to this

Right guys need some help here. My mission... to get oe oil pressure gauge working. This is what i have below

option1 - (right in picture) earlier type
what colour wires from wirring loom go to this?
And as this is the 'early' type - does it flow less oil or anything why they changed it?
...
now option2 (on left in picture) as we know option 1 doesnt allways work as sensors fail..
This is removed from my car and it had blank in bottom and this sensor in pic with no wire to it? What is this sensor, and what sensor am i missing, and again what colour wires?
thanksSee more

not sure if im right but if i am both on your pic do the same thing oil pressure, the oil level sensor is the one that goes into the sump by the turbo oil return, i had the earlier type but done away with it altogether and just use a sensor plumbled into oil feed to my stack gauge

not sure mate to be honest, maybe just blanked off  and on the loom theres 4 green wires, 2 go the sensor on there 2 to the oil level one, i have a new loom on mine so dunno if theres a change?

One orange and one brown wire goes on the pressure switch. Same colours for the level sensor. One sensor has different size spade connectors so you can't get the two mixed up

Thats right 2 diff types of spades, colours must be diff on original loom then i just have 4 green

Put some more spades on them, connect them up see if they work if not swap them around?

On the later type the sensor on the front of the banjo is for the oil light, it should have a white barrel type sensor on the bottom with one spade connector for oil pressure.

On the earlier setup one spade connector is for the light, the other is for pressure. I think the bigger spade is for the oil light but not 100%.

There is no difference regarding flow etc just pick which ever one works.

Just earth the wires one by one and you will soon find out what does what

nice brigsy cheers for that, il try the earlier type but worried that wont be working. Looks like my later type has the oil light sensor, but needs the 'white barrel type sensor' for oil pressure, can we still get hold of these?

I think you can still get hold of the later barrel type pressure sensor but its not cheap.

Id stick with the earlier sensor, less to leak. The oil pressure light sensors leak quite often, ive had tow start leaking, nick kettle had one leak in france. The early ones never seem to leak.

You can actually get an earlier type too, the barrel sensor is part of the banjo bolt. I think it was early 9/11 turbo's only. Got one kicking about somewhere lol

fitted the older type - i only had 2 wires not going to anything orange and brown, so tried them both ways round on the connectors - nothing. Should i be seeing12v off these wires orange and brown - getting nothing
