Hi guys, I will b starting my rebuilt engine in the next few day,has anyone got any tips for the first start up, I am thinking crank over with king lead off then undo turbo feed to make sure oil is circulating. Anything else I can do to check all is working ok.
Get an old dizzy drive gear and the teeth off, then weld in an old head bolt with the top chopped off, drop it in place and turn the oil pump with an electric drill till to reach 40/50psi of pressure, then stick the turbo feed in a jam jar and turn it again, whip it out and reassemble the dizzy, reconnect the turbo feed and fire her up

Oh bugger I don't have a spare drive gear, is there anything else I can do. Thanks.
Yeah just prime the engine with the kinglead removed. J.D
