Hi all - as I await parts to turn up, I have turned my attention to the headlights as they packed up on me on the way back from Scoff's.

Having looked in the Haynes Worshop Bible, the headlight witing looked simple, from the switch / stalk, to a junction then straight onto the headlight. Should be simple to sort out, no?

That would be the case if the wiring in my car looked anything like the Haynes version, which it doesn't.

I have proven the switch working having the following 3 outputs from it

1 - side lights
2 - Dipped beam
3 - Main beam

All 3 work as they should including lighting up there respective lamps on the dash, but the 12v leaving the switch via a large white wire for the head lights does nothing apart from light up the dash light.

Does anybody know how the headlights are wired up on the phase 2 5? Where does the white cable go to???

There's 2 fuses in the fusebox too, when I had issues with my side lights it was those

Which was it? Relay or fuses?

Relay. Took a bit of finding though, alarm fitters hid it.
