I saw a completely standard nova GSi or gte on eBay a few months back, absolutely mint. You're defo 100% right when you say you don't see many. 20 years ago they were everywhere! Scary how time flys.

Anyone remember the Early Nova Sport? 1.4 it was, they are rocking horse ****e, I'd love to have one of those.

You mean the 1.3SR and the 1.4SR (and the later 1.4SRi)?

They looked ace. I always wanted one, especially in yellow, lol. I just wanted the tailgate!

I stand corrected (said the man in the orthopaedic shoes)

They were a wicked little car. My friend had one. I haven't seen one for ten years or more now

Very nice, had an '86 1.3 SR as my first car in carmine red with the 'snow plough' front, then a '91 1.4 SR and finally a silver '89 1.3 SR which was the best one as it lasted longer than the other two lol

That Astra is very nice

I used to have a D-reg Nova 1.3 SR - great little car in the day. I'd love a Nova Sport I must admit.......... rare though! :)

my sr was essentially the same spec as a nova sport, had a bit more power though due to the headwork and cam plus the 4-2-1/full system. used to be such a hoot to drive and made a great noise.

id have another nova in a heartbeat, would have to get one with a c20let though ;)

My old man had a nova sport back in the day, think he said it was a year or two old.fairly nippy for what it was,I'm sure he said he had a run in with a sierra xr4x4 and the nova stayed with it despite the xr powering out of corners:agree:keeps telling me those were the good old days when there was hardly any cars on the road compared to today

I've got a soft spot for a Nova! I had a 1.0 push rod nova on a F plate when I was at college. It took some serious abuse! Up and down the motorway from Leicester to Blackpool most weekends. Haz smashed out half the dash with his clumsy feet aswell. Fun times!

My first ever car was a 1.0 Nova. 1983 A reg :D A148YMO.

Had to keep the points in good condition but apart from that it took loads of stick, lol.
