15 max ideally, bigger and you have to cut bits out

I have 15's as there still good for handling and you get a better choice of tyres, the 16" tyre selection was awful but it is improving I think as more cars come with larger wheels from the factory, but I'd still hang back with 15's.

ok cool, thats what i thought to be honest, what about width of the wheels?

Most are 7j anyway, my azevs are 7.5j and can run a 205 but I'm still rolling in 195 55 15 Goodyear eagles I think.. The extra width could lead to some scrubbing and I don't want my hard earned cash being chewed up in the wheel arch..

Clio 'turbine' wheels are 6.5j with an offset of 36. These with 195/45/15 tyres will fit with minimum scrub.

depends on how low your car is but with mild lowering you can get 16's on with 40 profile tyres, you may also need a 5mm spacer for each of the front wheels, if your car is low enough for the wheels to catch on the rear arches then it's quite easy to grind off the edge of the plastic kit so it doesn't catch.

I run 15/8's with an off set of 35

Exactly what I have. Look great on a 5 too. Or run standard speedlines?

15" with 195/45 tyres and offset of 35 - no scrubbing issues even when slammed. OZ offer a couple of good 'uns but I'd personally go with Clio Turbines or Williams Speedlines.

15's are the max size that looks good imo.

Another with OE Speedlines that I've just had refurbished. The tyres I'll be purchasing are 185/60/13.

This is just my own personal opinion, but I think it doesn't get much better than a clean set of standard wheels.

Standard 13's with road legal track tyres are the best on a slightly modded gtt:agree:

I think a sweet set of 16s can look the nuts! Just look at Pascal's car.

For the best compromise on wheel size for handling and available tyre selection, you can't go past 6.5/7.0 x 15s, the lighter the better, like OZ Superleggras/Ultraleggras, TD Pro Race series and if your feeling flush, choices from RAYS, VOLK and Buddy Club are also pretty light.

My favourite wheel for a GTT is Speedline Williams. :smokin:
