This was my trade as well mate. When I left about 10 years ago, I was running a 4 colour Heidleberg GTO 52. Some happy memories of my time in the print, but the majority are bad!!

Was a HGV driver, then an Electrician (had a go at self employment for 2 years) and now I'm a lift engineer (mainly stairlifts)
I own my own cleaning company, mainly commercial window cleaning, traditional or water fed pole. Been in the trade for 22 years. Also do the odd bit of mechanics/breaking cars to earn a little extra ;)

Build,install, maintain & upgrade - 90% of our work is for waitrose and John Lewis, so I'm often based all over the country.......
Some months it's great working away, but at times when you want to get things done at home or on your 5:D it's a pain in the arse:mad:

i work for a company called arnold clark as a driver/valeter ....i pick up cars from other branch's ...also deliver cars to customers ...valeting wise i just was the cars on the forecoart ...minimal wage ...but it pays the bills ...job at the end of the day :laugh:

I was getting Around 1400-1500 a month after tax. They also bill you for anything they like you don't get a say in what they deduct from your pay.
No overtime pay either You could work crimbo day and still get the same.
Not worth it for the bull **** you have to go through every day.
Great if your single with no kids and just wanna get pissed every day.
Army housing is cheap though compared to civilian market.
you would get a bonus on an operational tour.

I work with a gp who moaned about how much he go paid for working a night shift over a bank holiday (£1200 that night)... He didn't even work they much that night... I earned around £120 for the night Aswell.. But managed a 6 hour kip :))

Facilities Operative @ Hunterston B Power Station for Balfour Beatty. Actually enjoy it haha everydays different so get a chance to do all types of work.

Potential Death situation ( of yourself or others ) does seem to grow proportionally with wage.

I work in the security industry as a contracts support manager,I look after the rich and famous in and around the Surrey and hampshire boarders..best thing is with the job I get to see inside all the huge 15 bedroom mansions with 10 car garages full of italians:)
during the week i'm working for a toro dealership on commercial mowers for golf clubs and landscapers and a race mechanic at weekends for the boss

Im a service engineer for Fettes & Rankine in aberdeen, we deal with mechanical work, servicing on marine and plant machines and do overhauls on Anchor winches on OIl platforms. Decent job and you get around abit. Keepa the 5 on the road any;)way lol
im a street lighting engineer and electritian / electrical installer. spend days in holes or up in the air. as well as rainy day work looking at a computer screen wondering why things are not working :)
